Henry Sanyaolu is a distinguished legal and regulatory expert with over 20 years of experience advising on corporate governance, financial services, mergers & acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement. He has supported major financial institutions, including acting as counsel to Sky Bank, Heritage Bank, Aso Savings, and advising on capital market transactions, infrastructure finance, and regulatory matters.
Henry currently serves as Head of Regulatory Liaison at Axxela Limited, where he leads regulatory strategy and government relations, ensuring business alignment with evolving financial and commercial regulations.
Prior to this, he was Head of Commercial Law Practice at Legal Resources Alliance, providing advisory services on banking, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and infrastructure development. He also previously worked as Legal Advisor at Oando Gas & Power, overseeing legal support for transactions, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
A member of the Nigerian Bar, Henry holds an LL.M in Energy Law & Policy from the University of Dundee and an LL.B from the University of Lagos. He brings to the board valuable insights in legal risk management, corporate governance, financial sector compliance, and strategic public affairs.
