Mr. Adegboyega Adegun is a seasoned finance and banking executive with over three decades of professional experience, distinguished by a robust track record in investment banking, corporate finance, and energy sector financing. His career reflects a strong blend of technical expertise and strategic leadership across Nigeria’s financial services landscape.
He currently serves as the Managing Consultant at Candace Consult Ltd, a boutique financial advisory firm specializing in capital raising, financial structuring, and strategic advisory services for both private and public sector clients.
Prior to this, Mr. Adegun held key leadership positions at Sterling Bank Plc, where he rose to the level of General Manager and Divisional Head of Investment Banking. In this role, he led the bank’s financing operations in critical sectors such as oil and gas, power, and aviation, managing large and complex portfolios and structuring high-impact transactions that contributed significantly to the bank’s growth and sectoral relevance.
A distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Mr. Adegun is academically grounded with an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan, and a B.Sc. in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He has also sharpened his executive leadership skills through advanced management and finance programs at renowned international institutions, including INSEAD Business School in France.
With his extensive experience in financial structuring, multilateral financing, and advisory services, Mr. Adegun brings invaluable insight and thought leadership to the board.
